2) Counter-hegemonic and Critical Art: Moving images in pre-2022 Russia and Interwar Germany
- A comparative paper that looks at contemporary Russian and Interwar German videos/cinema, specifically looking at works that deal with anxiety and fear, and argues that anxiety in IR is not always an isolating emotion but can be one that engages collective politics
- Presented at the University of Tartu’s Annual Conference on Russian and Eastern European Studies in June 2022
3) Affect and Diplomacy: New and old friendships under pressure from conflict in Europe
- Co-authored with Asya Metodieva
- This paper looks at the varying diplomatic strategies of states in the Western Balkans, exploring why these states interact with their larger neighbors in rather disparate ways. It focuses primarily on Serbia and its relationships with Russia, the EU, and China.

4) Rethinking Hybridity: Adding Layers to Russia's Self-Other Dialectic
- Aims to built a new framework to allow for multiple others in the context of Russian foreign policy, using the Ukraine-Russia relationship as a case
