My name is Jacqueline Dufalla, and I am currently a post-doctoral researcher at Metropolitan University Prague, the Center for Security Studies. My research interests lie in Russian foreign policy, studies on hegemony (especially with a neo-Gramscian approach), and countermovements. I work with qualitative methods, particularly critical discourse analysis and the analysis of visuals and moving images. I recently completed my PhD at Central European University in 2023. The title of my dissertation, supervised by Alexander Astrov, was "Re-conceptualizing a Global Challenger: Russia’s Role in the International Order".
I received my Bachelors of Arts at the University of Pittsburgh in Politics & Philosophy and Slavic Studies in 2014. I then moved to Budapest and received my MA in International Relations and European Studies in 2015 at Central European University, working with Alexander Astrov. I completed a MRes in 2016 at the University of Glasgow in Russian, Central and Eastern European Studies, working with Ammon Cheskin. |
